1. Scope of This Policy

This policy does not apply to third-party websites, apps, or services linked from our App (e.g., Firebase, Google AdMob). These services have their own privacy policies, which you should review.

2.1 Information You Provide

  • Account Information: When you sign up or log in via Firebase Authentication, we collect your email address and any optional details you provide, such as your name or profile information.
  • Journal and Tracking Data: You may enter daily journal entries, track mood, sleep patterns, or dream clarity, and upload voice memos. These are stored securely in our Firebase Database.
  • Subscription Data: When you purchase a subscription via Superwall or RevenueCat, we collect transaction details (e.g., purchase history, subscription status), but not payment card details, which are handled securely by third-party payment processors.
  • Communications: If you contact our support team or submit feedback, we collect your contact details (e.g., email) and the content of your messages.

2.2 Information We Collect Automatically

  • Usage Data: We collect data on how you interact with the App (e.g., features used, session duration, clicks) via Firebase Analytics and Mixpanel to optimize performance and user experience.
  • Device Information: We collect details like device ID, IP address, operating system, app version, and device type through Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, Firebase Crashlytics, and Google AdMob.
  • Crash Data: Firebase Crashlytics collects crash reports, including device state, stack traces, and actions leading to crashes, to diagnose and fix technical issues.
  • App Install Tracking: AppsFlyer collects data on how you discovered the App (e.g., via ads, referral links) to measure marketing campaign effectiveness.
  • Notification Data: Firebase Push Notifications and OneSignal collect device tokens and interaction data (e.g., whether you opened a notification) to deliver and personalize notifications.
  • Advertising Data: Google AdMob collects device identifiers, IP address, and usage data to serve personalized ads based on your interests.

We use your information to deliver, personalize, and improve the App, ensuring we only process data for specified purposes:

  • Authenticate and manage your account via Firebase Authentication.
  • Process and manage subscriptions through Superwall and RevenueCat.

  • Deliver personalized ads via Google AdMob based on your interests.

7. Data Deletion Process

You can permanently delete your data in two ways:

  • In-App Deletion: Navigate to Settings > Manage Account > Delete Account in the App. This will permanently delete your account, journal entries, mood/sleep data, voice memos, and AI art inputs from our Firebase Database.
  • Email Request: Email support@simplifylifeapps.com with your deletion request. We’ll verify your identity and delete your data within 30 days.

Deleted data cannot be recovered, except where retention is required by law (e.g., for tax or audit purposes).

8. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:

  • Storage: Your data is stored in Firebase Database on secure Google Cloud servers with encryption at rest and in transit.
  • Access Controls: Only authorized personnel have access to your data, under strict confidentiality agreements.
  • Secure Transmission: We use HTTPS and TLS protocols for data transfers.
  • Regular Audits: We conduct security reviews to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.

No system is 100% secure, so we encourage you to use strong passwords, enable two-factor authentication (if available), and keep your device updated.

9. Data Retention

We retain your data only as long as necessary:

  • Active Accounts: Journal entries, mood/sleep data, voice memos, and AI art inputs are kept while your account is active or as needed to provide services.
  • Deleted Accounts: Upon deletion via in-App settings or email request, we permanently remove your personal data from Firebase Database within 30 days, except where required by law (e.g., for tax, audit, or legal compliance).
  • Aggregated Data: Anonymous, aggregated data may be retained indefinitely for analytics or research.

10. International Data Transfers

As a global app based in India, your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your region, such as the United States (where Firebase, Google AdMob, and other services are hosted). We comply with laws like GDPR, CCPA, and DPDP by:
